As announced in training today, the Lidstone Kyusha Taikai (Competition) will be held on Saturday 12th October 2013 at:

Black Prince Community Hub
5 Beaufoy Walk (off Black Prince Road)
Kennington, SE11 6AA

This is an annual tournament with a long history for kendoka who have yet not achieved shodan and have no more than 3 years of experience.

Competitors will have a chance to do shiai geiko (competition training) from 10:00 to 12:00. The Taikai will officially start at 13:00.

QM beginners: This will be your first chance to see a proper kendo tournament, and of particular interest, you will be watching matches where the two competitors are of a similar beginners’ level. So if you have time, do head over to watch for a bit before our training session at 15:50.

QM kyusha: Seniors, if you fit the above eligibility rules and are interested in competing, you still have a chance as registration doesn’t close until Wednesday 9th October. Let us know if you do register!
